Just texturing the bartop would be fine by me, rather than a new color altogether. Draygans Hollow pulls off full brown rather well.
Color can come from wall decorations, rugs, plants (like the ones in the fence I put up). |

We're also not Draygan's Hollow, neither should we wish to mimic them. I would be in favor of a differently shaded countertop, perhaps wood with a bit of wax coating, making it look shinier with yellow undertones.

Ships, even old ones, had some glass, right? No reason a little glass here and there couldn't break up the brown monotony. Maybe on the sides of the bar counter, for decoration?

You guys are making this far more complex than it needs be, we don't need everything portrayed down to the very last pixel how it might be based on some obscure little detail. Making the patcher redo items over and over is a good way to frustrate said patcher, and so long as it just looks good we should go with whatever is best visually. :p
Every moment the artist is redoing a random object for the tenth time is a moment they could've best spent finishing a room and moving on to the next. |

How do you feel about this how the wall color affects the tavern? I'm trying to offset all the brown you guys were complaining about. I will not render the walls or add texture until I get feedback. |

After three months we've.. got a half-finished tavern, it seems like, and our commission is cancelled. x_o
This is made even worse by ArtSpace having a distinctive style, so we'll probably not be able to use the patches at all, because the other stuff in our patch won't mesh with the items she has made for us. And if we do use it, we'll have a lot of empty, open areas in the tavern.

I do beg pardon for the computer troubles. Trust me, it isn't something I'm very pleased about either. 
Unfortunately, I'm going to have to step out now. Now my wacom doesn't want to work. I've had to cancel all commissions, this one included. You wan work out arrangements with Xxy on what to do from here, I've contacted him as well.
