My dad has this habit of volun-TELLING me I'm going to this this this this and this, regardless of whatever plans I made that are utterly meaningless to him since they aren't the plans he had for me.

First off, I've already made plans of applying to a Police Department for work as soon as I can scavange the funds for my blank-sheet of paper otherwise known as my Criminal Record. I don't like doing the same thing over and over and over again, and I refuse to work at a fast food joint, and I'm still too Heavy for the Marines.
However, he has descided that I am to work at a Honda-ATV Factory from HELL that I've already worked Security For. I was let go because my supervisor was far more interested in flirting with the woman leaving the locker room then his job.
And I let him know how I felt about it infront of Honda Management.
He feels that since He worked for them, and is permenatly hurt because of it, I can go there to and suffer the same amount of mental torment when I already know how 'secure' the damned place is.
THEN, when I get home from applying, I'm packing to go to North Carolina...AGAIN, to exchange Christmas Presents with my Grandmother that...for somereason, couldn't GO with us the first goddamned time we went up there to help a buddy of mine with some chores at a Marine Base.
I told'em I had plans, obviously, since I want to finish this quest I've been begging Myth about since the middle of this year.
I had a dream I've been recreating that still isn't done yet because of DS issues that I promised someone I'd finish sometime friday.
Furcadia did you say? Since I neither understand nor care about Furcadia in the first place, it doesn't matter, and I have no problems in making you a liar to anyone you made promises to, because going up there, listening to an old woman lecture you about not joining the military IMMEDIATLY after Highschool until you come back sometime Saturday or Sunday night is far more important for your mental health.
I won't say exact words.
But thats the jest of it, filtering out the cursing and adding abit of tact...

Anyone else have this issue? I mean I'm 25 years old, I still live with them...and what? Its like I WANT to?!
I moved out twice, only to be sucked RIGHT back into the same mess that I left, the difference?
I no longer own a car I can just throw in all my stuff, then hit the gas, I sold it for one of their house payments.

I know, however, that If you want to you can get through this cause I know you well enough to make the statement v_v. Parrents are a very difficult obstacle in thise cases...

The trick to moving out is moving to somewhere your folks are too far from or afraid of to visit.
Thus, I live in the ghetto. Folks won't drag you out of it if they're too afraid of getting cut.

I understand your predicament, to a degree. I'm 22 and I live with my parents. Though, it's really out of choice.

Not because I'm a bum, but because I'm taking over my father's business one day, and it seems a little pointless to commute to my own house to learn the trade. I still pay rent and whatnot, though.

I've got a small buisness venture starting in 2010.
I just got to find a temperary spot with a descent job, like a Cop, which would end up helping me with this small little buisness venture.
I'll be moving to Alabama and there would be long periods where I don't exist.

...or if I can finish this damned book that I've started, and restarted some years back. Nearing 100 pages, near the middle...or late middle of the story, and the plot is relatively unique if the atmosphere is somewhat reminisant of Aliens xD.

I just needed to blow steam, normally I'd do it with a good spar, but being both out of shape, and the only other person in range who owns a wooden do is not only in the Marines, but his vehical is dead.
I'd also play a good video game, but as of late, the only three I've got interest for is in the PC the 'evil one' plays his Planetside.

I'm 21 and live with my parents. Like Kalannar, it's out of choice. I'm one of the lucky ones in that I have a pair of really understanding parents who allow me to live in their house with minimal rules and a lot of freedom. I work the job I want, I go where I want, and no one fucks with my computer. Sure, I'm given chores and I help out with the bills just like anyone else, but I know and respect that I have it much easier than others in this regard.

All I can tell you Lax is that you have to stand up to your father and show him that you won't take his shit lying down. Sounds like he's treating you like you're eight years old--you should remind him of that. I may not be giving the best advice here, because I can be quite the confrontational person.

The trip to North Carolina has been cancelled.
My grandfather is going to the hosptial Saturday, and will be in surgery Monday.
Nothing serious, just an internal hernia, though not like my dad has, still, my grandad is the oldest living McKenzie in the family line, so my dad and the rest of the 'parental troupe,' are hovering around granddad's house.

Suddenly, I'm feeling bad.

I'm sorry to hear that, your grandfather will be in my prayers, and you shouldn't feel bad for being treated like a child regardless of what you want to do with your time.

Well, Lax, I understand completely and entirely.

I get voluntold many things. Many, many things, outside of the already very busy, demanding schedule and list of commitments I set myself up with... And lemme tell ya, about the time you're being harassed by ten year old girls while you've got a deadline on work and assignments for classes you could be finishing but you're doing 'favours' for people from the congregation yer daddy preachers to, you about want to find something very tall to fall off of or a very dark place to lock yourself into.

It sucks when you're helping raise your kid sibs and helping pay the bills and you still end up with the voluntelling.

If I had a car, I could get a steady job. Without a steady job, I can't get a car. The only place I can afford to move into, my parents know the exact location of, as I've bummed rides there for work. So my boss's house ain't a great alternative.
