A sunny day, the wind is blowing, the sky is cyan, and everyone is about to start their day. But then, jobs, merchandise, lives, stop. The Shops hadn’t opened. Everyone at the square wondered, why for the first time, Mr. Roan Shakat was not out and selling since before the crack of dawn. The salesmen, delivery boys and consumers, all sat outside the door for Mr. Shakat to show. They waited for an hour and no show, until the dock’s administrator was bothered that the fish were not yet received, and were starting to stench and annoy everyone. He pushed at the Merchant’s door, nothing. He hit it and shouted, nothing. He kicked it, and all he was able was to make the curtain of the nearest window move but an inch. He moved towards it and saw, through said inch, the Trader lying on his desk, without movement.
After taking the Fox to the cleric’s guild, they diagnosed him with a coma. Nothing more could be said. He was fit, he didn’t show any injuries or abnormalities, other than he just couldn’t wake up. The shop was left to his second in command, for economy could not wait for and indefinite time. Yet everyone wondered, some plotted, of why the shop keeper was the latest to be afflicted.
