Horus Ti'Click was a soldier for the Ansteorrian kingdom. He was not a smart furre, nor was he exceptionally strong. Yet, Horus had a dream!

Horus was raised in a small county southwards of Ansteorra, his father was a ranger that had been awarded a special title by the King for bravery in the face of battle, and his bow was made by the finest elven weaponsmith in Ansteorra. Horus' mother was his only parent growing up, as Horus' father went out to cut some wood one evening when Horus was a child and never came home, being found in the woods a day later, impaled upon a longsword to a tree.
So, Horus inherited his father's bow, and became an incredible marksman. It was at the age of 15 that horus had a dream, he was awarded the honor that his father had obtained, in the same method, by the King, and would become well known throughout the kingdom, so when he came of age, Horus ventured out into the City of Ansteorra, and becamea soldier. As all stories start out small, our hero was set in a time of peace, so Horus was apt to be sent to do duties such as guarding the gates, and today, as our story starts, he was guarding a suply wagon making it's way north to Ansteorra!

It was a hot day as the sun beamed down upon the dirt road, as Horus and his fellow guards ate lunch atop the wagon, Horus was recounting the dream he had as a child, and the rest of his party broke into laughter, "You really think you'll get to win an award for a war in this peacefull era? Don't make me laugh, you should go back home, Horus." Snorted one of the nearby veterans.

It was then that a dark shadow overcame the wagon, as the road became riddled with trees, entering a dark forest.

As the wagon entered said forest, clouds of fog began to wrap around the wheels of the wagon, unnerving everyone, including the wagon's horses, which began to get visible jitters.

Horus smiled, thinking of nothing but his adventure, he thought to himself, 'perhaps this will be the day', as he laid back against a bag of grains. Little did he know, that today, the start of his adventure would be the last adventure he ever faced.

Our Horus was a dreamer, and thus spent most of his time leaning against a tree imagining his future, instead of practicing his swordmansship, which perhaps would be his fatal flaw.

A scream from the driver shocked Horus into awakedness, as he jumped up, unsheathing the rapier at his side, the fog had been hiding skeletal hands, which ripped through the earth, and had begun to tear apart the wheels of the cart, as many undead sauntered out of the forest.

A battle had ensued, as Horus jumped from the cart, cuttubg down a zombie here, a skeleton there, cursing that in closed combat he couldn't use his bow. Our hero was soon overtaken as the legions of undead pressed upon him, and soon he gave away as a sword lodged itself in his back.

A number of the soldiers who he'd been traveling with were slain as well, but the battle was soon over, as the wagon had disapeared into a sink hole left by the many skeletal hands. The undead many were summoned away and wandered into the forest, leaving three soldiers alive, and Horus with a serious wound.

I was waiting for the story to be finished before adding any comments to it, but as you've asked... I think it's a good story. Smile
