The Trail of Ruin

In the aftermath of the path the Destroyer blazed through Tigath and the Dhamzon that left hundreds dead, those who lost loved ones and fellow tribesfurres mourned and buried their remains. Only after their tears had finally dried did their thoughts turn to revenge and their eyes set on Ebonstar Mountain, despite its being thousands of miles from their home. Word of mouth spread quickly due to letters those at Caeseal had sent, the clans of Tigath began calling meetings, discussing whether to plan an assault on the Heretic's castle. And if so, when.

How might you react?:

Tigahrrim: She and her despicable followers have performed an act of war on your lands! Your brothers and sisters slaughtered without mercy, perhaps even some recruited into the Destroyers' army as her undead servants. Perhaps an all out assault on the Ebonstar might not be the wisest of decisions, but her blood must wash over the land the same as she has done to your own!
Necromancers, Fallen Paladins and otherwise Evil beings: So Mistress Erisvan has succeeded once more, quite an accomplishment in releasing one of the ancient Heretic's. Maybe now would be the best time to pledge your allegiance to her personally or offer your services to the now freed Master Trothfang.
Clerics, Paladins and otherwise Good beings: Should the Tigahrrim march for Sargothas, surely they will need your assistance. If not to aid them in their search for justice, then to seal two Heretic's in stone at once. And this time, hopefully, they'll be there to stay.
Austians: Death is too good for the Tigahrrim, but at the very least, they got what they deserved.
Everyone Else: Another failure, it doesn't seem as if there is anything one can do to prevent the actions of Erisvan. Surely one day revenge would be had, but now isn't that day. The future of Calenndor as a whole needs to be looked forward to, not yet another war.

Erm, Sirum, Erisvan killed maybe about a dozen scouts. >.> She didn't blaze a path of destruction through anything really. I doubt the Tigahrrim would really get their panties in a wad, as it were.

The whole jungle burning was a distraction so noone noticed that Erisvan and Ciran were fakes.

In any case, if you're going to forment war-like unrest in the south, it may be a good idea to pass that through Kel and the Continuity team so you don't step on toes ^^

I thought she killed everything in her path, sorry. Razz And rarely if ever does anything come of the UtC reports, so I assumed it would end with the Tigahrrim either going "It's not worth the effort, meh"/"Oh snap she'll break us like twigs" or being forgotten entirely. x)

That and Marlina said it was fine. *shrugs*

Well I assumed you had a better idea of what happened there then I did. Razz Anywho, nothing ever comes of the reports because people aren't following up on things, although the oppurtunity is there... (Still waiting for the launcian ball... ^.~)

Painter of the Land (I) [M]

Even though Ansteorra is not Ansteorra anymore, the frequent oddities that occurred there seem to continue regardless of who resides there. Which is why perhaps the random traveler, merchant or just a tavern frequenter might have caught word of unnatural things springing up a few miles out from the Kingdom's gates, such as a tree made of pure crystal appearing outside of a farm with leaves all colors imaginable, or dozens of green lights filling the sky as soon as the sun sets. Despite various attempts to near the tree, numerous reports have been made of a light 'stinging' sensation filling the inspectorsí body, increasing as they went closer. Perhaps it's nothing more than some test at magic, but then again, the level of skill shown in such a creation is equal - or perhaps even greater - than that of an Archmagus.

[M: Signifies mini-quest if pursued]

Map Master Michael [M]

Precious few that had once called Scarport home managed to escape the destruction of it in the conflict between the Heretic's. Most of these individuals were out at sea, some were in other Kingdom's involved in shady dealings on behalf of their Scarport-based organizations. Yet rumors hadn't started up about them and bounties of their names and sketches of them hadn't been tacked up among the many various others listed in taverns throughout the lands of Launcia, the Kebeyan Republic and Tharivol, like a certain 'Michael Zexohn'.

As one story goes, Michael was a trader and maker of all kinds of maps, ranging from general maps of Faenor to the occasional cave with the sorts of legends surrounding it that those who venture within never return alive. The typical kind explorers love. While traveling with a portion of his maps and scrolls, The Destroyer struck Scarport and along with it every last map he had left behind in his sizable shop. In a rush to not run out of goods, after a few hasty deals in Tharivol he once again had a respectable amount to sell to those he came across. Once a few months had passed and after quite a few sells had been made, it became apparent that those he had purchased had all turned out to be fakes, leading explorers into the middle of nowhere with nothing to see. But there were far too many within his caravan to tell which ones were authentic and which of them were forgeries, so he tried to ignore it and hope for the best.

Another, more popular story is that he's nothing but a swindling fool who marks every last one of his maps with an 'X' over anything that looks interesting and hopes that those seeking the location never manage to find him again. No matter which is true, the fact remains, in Vincan he is wanted alive for 500 gold coins, and in Tharivol mercenaries are being offered 100 gold per person for the capture of him (regardless of if his heart still has a beat) and his entire caravan of goods.

As the word of mouth goes, he's usually on the trade route between Ansteorra, Tharivol and Vincan City, or somewhat off of it to avoid running into those he would rather not meet...

How you might react:

Explorers/Adventurers: With all the talk of war starting up once more, perhaps now would be the best time to get away from it all and seek out this man. Even if some of the maps are fakes, some might not be, and you shall still be enjoying yourselves getting to the location pointed out.
Bounty Hunters: Gold has been a bit tight as of late and as such this would be the perfect opportunity to regain that stash you've either spent or lost. Surely a map maker couldn't be all that hard to surround and take down. But then, why has he yet to be captured?
Mages: Wasn't there some mention of magical scrolls..? If he has avoided those after him for this long it might not be all that bad to purchase a few, who knows how powerful they are.
