The Guildmaster closed the door behind him, locking the entrance to his quarters and placing the key on the dresser. He sat upright on the side of his bed, a concerned look in his eyes. He slowly removed his garments, pondering about the many symptoms he had witnissed lately. Looking over his form, naked to the waist, he sighed. Abandonning the golden complexion of the high elves, his skin began a slow transformation in colour. A faint reddish hue now began to blossom, starting around his chest and spreading almost into view of his fully clothed form. He stood up and walked across the room, turning his back to the mirror. As he looked over his shoulder, he saw the reflection of two thin, vertical bumps that made their way down his backside. The Tiefling was well aware that something was wrong.
He moved back to the bed, lying down with his head resting on top of his interlocked fingers. He considered the puzzle, trying to put the pieces together to form a definite picture. The Half-Demon had enjoyed a relatively peaceful life after the Exile from the abyss. A peaceful life, that is, until now.
Xaanatar, his father, was slain by his own blade a little over a century ago; a century of banishment to the abyss. Solinox look over to the post of his bed, over which was slung his father's former blade. He was able to piece together a picture, albeit a faint one.
Xaanatar was in the city. He didn't know how, or in what form, but he certainly knew why. Redecorating himself with his armor, he grasped Namarra, the demonslayer.
(OOC: In a month or two, I hope to be holding a series of chaptered quests; this is an epilogue to Streets of Ansteorra.) _________________
